Happenings

New and used books are always on display in the "Book Room", which is found through the door under the "EXIT" sign at the rear of the library.

We welcome donations of new and used books and are anxious to include them in our updated and improved collection of books for sale.
Donations can be left at the library Monday thru Saturday. Drive past the outside book drop to the door at the back of the library.
PLEASE do not bring magazines, Readers' Digest Condensed Books, encyclopedias, textbooks or musty (been stored too long) items.

Take a look at "Scene" at the Library and get a preview of what's happening or happened at the library.

The Tunkhannock Public Library is a center of activities for the entire county.  The Community Room is used by countless organizations for their meetings.  In addition, there are concerts and seminars held there that are open to the public.  The weekly list of events is posted in the lobby and can usually be found on our online calendar. (Community Room Policy & Application Form)

The Library is famous for its Schedule of  Summer Programs for children.  Reading and spending time at the Library is definitely a cool thing to do. The schedule for summer programs is usually announced around the middle of May. Informational flyers will be distributed to all of the area elementary schools, as well as the fifth graders in the middle school. Watch here on the website for an early look at what will be available.

There is always a fund-raiser in the works at the Library.  By participating in one of the events such as the Wine Tasting, Golf Tournament, Fall & Spring Book Sales or the Christmas Show (Saturday & Sunday, December 4 & 5, 2010 in the TAHS auditorium), community members can support the work of the Library and have fun, too.
