Another year, another story

The Tunkhannock Public Library will celebrate reading with the 2008 "Pennsylvania ONE BOOK every young child" event on Saturday, April 19th. Click here to get more information.

The Tunkhannock Public Library's Story Hour continues on Wednesday, January 16th. Readers choose stories, songs and craft themes that are suitable for pre-schoolers.
All ages are welcome and there is no fee or registration. It begins at 10:30 a.m. in the LIBRARY COMMUNITY ROOM.

If you would like to be a guest reader please contact the library for information. New reader participants are always welcome!

The Tunkhannock Public Library is a center of activities for the entire county.  The Community Room calendar is used by countless organizations for their meetings.  In addition, there are concerts and seminars held there that are open to the public.  The weekly list of events is posted in the lobby.

The Library is famous for its Schedule of Summer Programs for children.  Reading and spending time at the Library is definitely a cool thing to do. The 2008 schedule of summer programs will be announced sometime in May. Informational flyers will be distributed to all of the area elementary schools, as well as the fifth graders in the middle school. Watch here on the website for an early look at what will be available.

There is always a fund-raiser in the works at the Library.  By participating in one of the events such as the Wine Tasting, the new George Gay Founder's Day Olympics, Golf Tournament, or the Christmas Show, community members can support the work of the Library and have fun, too.
