Endeavors to promote an awareness of, an appreciation for and a desire to preserve nature's beauty and diversity.  Awareness is encouraged through society publications; appreciation through its activities, and a desire to preserve nature through activism.  The Bird Hotline keeps society members and the public abreast of recent bird sightings and birding hotspots.  Meetings are held the third Monday of Jan., Feb., Mar., Apr., Sept., Oct., and Nov. at 7:30 p.m. at the Dallas United Methodist Church.  The society also holds frequent field trips, and serves Wyoming and Luzerne Counties.

Designed to provide an opportunity for men to enjoy singing songs in four-part harmony.  Presents an annual concert at Tunkhannock Area High School and offers periodic sing-outs to various organizations.  Society's national charity is the Institute of Logopedics, dedicated to rehabilitation and training of speech-handicapped children and adults.  Meets every Thursday from 7:30 -l0:00 p.m. at  St. Peter's Episcopal Church.
